Charleston Flutist Jessica Hull-Dambaugh has quickly established herself as an avid orchestral flutist, chamber musician, and teacher. She is currently the Principal Flutist of the Charleston Symphony Orchestra in South Carolina, a position she has held since 2004. Jessica has previously held both Flute and Piccolo positions with the Central City Opera Orchestra in Colorado, the Maryland Symphony Orchestra as Principal Flute, and has performed frequently with the Kennedy Center Opera Orchestra in Washington, DC. She enjoys performing locally in various chamber ensembles, maintains a private teaching studio, and is an active member of the South Carolina Flute Society Board.
Jessica has most recently appeared as a featured soloist with the Charleston Symphony Orchestra,
a brilliant soloist, exquisite chamber musician and orchestral player. I have always admired her playing because of her beautiful musicianship, lovely rich tone, and brilliant technique…
…technically flashy…a sensuous lower register…she brought more to the stage than accurate arpeggios of sixteenth notes…
Principal Jessica Hull-Dambaugh’s dulcet flute was the key ingredient.
